Solopreneurs, Elevating Your Expectations

In the journey of life and entrepreneurship, we often find ourselves grappling with expectations — whether from friends, family, or the universe itself. It's a path laden with self-discovery, and as a fellow solopreneur, I'd like to share a perspective that has transformed my outlook.

I used to expect a lot from those around me until I stumbled upon the teachings of Buddha, who illuminated the root of sorrow and suffering. It was a revelation that prompted a shift in my mindset. Instead of expecting from finite sources, I turned my gaze toward the infinite — God.

Realizing that to draw closer to God, I needed to embody godly qualities, I faced what seemed an insurmountable task. However, the essence of God lies in giving, and so, I adopted a mantra: to become a giver whenever possible. This act of emulation, I discovered, was a conduit to spiritual proximity.

Now, my prayers are not centered around personal desires. Rather, I express gratitude for the abundance bestowed upon me and request that these blessings be channeled towards public figures striving to impact billions in a positive way. It's a conscious choice to redirect the flow of abundance toward those engaged in noble endeavors.

As I reflect on the future, I'm uncertain about what I may ask for. What I am sure of, however, is the evolution of my thinking and aspirations. The journey has a way of elevating our consciousness, and with it, the nature of our requests from the divine. Perhaps, in time, I may cease asking altogether, having realized that God orchestrates the grand design once we fulfill our part.
